Hi
How much do people think I should be looking to pay for a metro turbo engine (a used unit) that I can then use for my mini turbo project ?

Will my project ever be finished !!? hopefully you guys can help !
Its only been like 10 years in the making and I'm only just assembling my engine!

King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

As little as possible!

All you will get for your money is a 30 year old engine that is likely to be highly worn!

id say fuck all really, its only the ancillaries you really need for the conversion

the way i see it, as ape states above, by now any turbo engine will likely need an overhaul and poss rebore etc, so the pistons will be no use (even if it didnt need a rebore, the rings are seemingly hard to get), the gearbox is essentially no different to any other A+ mini, beside the f/d ratio and the larger input bearing (not really needed in many/most/all peoples opinion)

so that leaved the head, with its special sodium filled valves, which again, dont seem to be needed (even on all out race motors)

so save your pennies, get a 998 gearbox, as low a milage 1275 short motor and head, and then just bolt the turbo bits on that

most importantly, by simply using the seach button, or going through the FAQ section you would have probably just saved 10 mins of my life, so bear that in mind in future too
