I wouls steer well clear. I had a set of super 4s (WR78, I think) in my standard 998 and they lasted about 3000km. They produced a weird problem of breaking down under load but only when all 4 were connected. I unplugged one to check mixture with colourtune as I thought my fuelling was out and the problem would disappear.

I will stick with NGK now, I'll never use Bosch plugs again and I can get them for free

I can really recommend the NGK iridium plugs, used to use them in my nissan, so tried them in the mini, have been very good so far, much better than the standard jobs.

BPR 6EIX
BPR 7EIX

Are what you need, depending on what grade you want.

Not cheap mind.

I am using the BPR 8EIX plugs, the are great and have a recessed electrode, that minimizes the hot spot that a normal plug usually creates (which could cause detonation).

The plugs with 4 electrodes don't make sense to me, it will only create one spark and not four as suggested..

I use the same... wickedly thin electrode.. would hurt if you stabbed someone in the eye with it.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Not tried the iridium plugs but managed to gain 10 BHp on VMax's RR by changing from NGK BCR8ES to BCR7ES.

The 7's seem to be working fine without the added cost.

Richard.

Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

I tried them about 10 years ago in my Metty Turbo, I can't remember what they were like but I didn't buy a second set.

I use the RS turbo spec NGKs BPR8ES iirc.

Those Bosch will just last longer, not give more power, and you can't index them!

I remember a good few years ago when the bosch supre 4s came out. There seemed to be a raft of fancy plugs on the market so a magazine (can't remember which one) got a bog standard Astra GTE and did a back to back power run with about 10 different plugs all claiming improved power, efficiency, life, etc. The outcome was that the standard plugs the car came with, NGK Rs, got the best power. Some matched the original power, most were worse and all were at least twice the price.
