Ive just been playing dirt 2 on the 360, and the sountrack is awesome

now is there anyway i can import this onto my pc so i can whack it on my ipod?

download Tunatic, and play the xbox song into the microphone or phono input jack on your PC, see if Tunatic recognizes the song. This listens to an unknown piece of music and figures out the name of the tune. It is amazing, it works on everything I tried. If it can figure out the song and artist, you should be able to find it available for download on the web.

Maybe there is a video on the web with your music in it, I wouldn't be surprised. If somebody has posted a video on the web with that music, then to get the audio out of a video and turn it into an MP3 audio file, do this:

1. Download DAM Media Grabber (freeware). This grabs whatever video you have playing in your browser, fires up its "Download Manager" and that starts downloading the file very quickly. Then you shut off your browser and it rips the file to your hardrive.

2. Download AoA Audio Extractor (freeware). This rips the audio out of the video file that you downloaded, converts it to whatever audio format you like.


This process is a little clunky, but it worked for me with a no-name song. I found some old 8mm videos of Jo Siffert on Atlas F1 that were interesting, no voice track but a really cool music track had been recorded with the photos of the racing. Worked fine, I created an MP3 of the sound track.

I bet you could find better tools if you searched longer than I did. I tried a thing called TubeGadgets which I think can do both copying and audio ripping from video, but I couldn't figure out how to get it working.

Ive found the track litings online, but was hoping I could just copy the songs directly over, im sure i managed it on gran turismo on the ps2? but might have dreamed it? lol
