my red top pump died the other day, when powered up it does nothing. it is definitly the pump as ive connected up a spare one i had and it worked straight away.

Not used a red top but I did have a silver top go tits once namely because I had mounted it incorrectly and it overheated.
Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

dont these work using mechanical points (hence why they were superceded by the square"solid state" facet pumps?) if thats teh case, chances are they ahve burnt out or stuck. if stuck a hammer will sort it, if burnt then its scrap. turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)
