does anyone on here run one of them steel cometic turbo head gaskets? i know that they are used on diesel engines and they run 400psi compression so must be good. just wondered if anyone runs one? if so are they any good?

Do it right the first time and make it mint!!!!!!

Mini13 uses one. It sounds like a good gasket.

Not sure he would have paid the £70 asking price if he could get hold of a Decent bk450.

yep I'm running one at the moment, as above I only went with it due to the iffy BK's,

TBH I don't think its worth the extra in most cases as the BK450 is up to the job,

Also i think really the head and block faces need to be really smooth for the cometic, ie surface ground rather than just skimmed.

i run one too, for piece of mind more than anything

its one of those things you fit and forget, but as mini13 said, both faces should be ground as smooth as they can get it.
