Well im on the look out for a project Mini to have sitting in the corner of the workshop. but what are they worth/fecthing these days price wise?

For an example I have been offered a 1981 HL that is in need of a resto. I dont know fully but from the pictures has surface rust on the floors. Needs new door skins, front end looks ok, engines a none runner. Subframes good. No MOT tax etc and probably needs the usual Mini jobs sorted!

I can appreciate that pictures tell a thousand words but i dont have any to show on this computer! The last Mini i bought was about 6 years ago and got it for £100 and the one before that £75. Im sure these days are gone!

Cheers Ron

King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

It's all down to how much rust there is, what you want to do with it and how lucky you get.

My 78 clubby came as a 'solid' rolling shell for £400 2 years ago. It's still stripped and rolling awaiting me taking my finger out and getting loads of welding done.

Luck is hte biggest factor....

Im selling my non running 86 city soon for £350. Its in pretty solid condition with minor surface rust in the usual places. I would hope it is worth that price but we will soon find out lol

tbh its a easy project for someone with time!

prices are all over the shop, i payed about 900 quid for a solid runner, ended up spending on the engine, body, compleete new drive train ( not inc box) about 500 quid in total and i did all the welding the body is still tatty but it really is solid now,
and i still think i did quite good for the cash

Yeah to be honest its luck of the draw.

You can get them proper cheap, if you dont mind year or condition. I think its just a case of scouting and around and see what pops up.

how complete?

Ollie- no time mate, i've started donating my time to St Johns, and to the local Ambulance service instead. I'm now saving for a nice mini that i don't have to work on (too much)
