had a sucessful visit to vmax yesterday to have my brothers car setup, which I've built a S/C 1380 engine for.

the supercharger kit was bought in the auction at the London to Brighton run.

breif spec:

1380 block
cast omegas
vmax s/c cam
vmax supercharger kit
1.5:1 roller rockers
rebulit box
s/c drops
m/s 4 pin diff

ended up with 142.1 bananas and 127 Curley wirlies

and one happy brother!

I'll get some pictures up sooner or later

cheers I'm pleased with it, just a few little bits to finish it off.

yeah it's running a verto with a green paint splodged AP cover lightened fly.

had a problem with the last one supplied, and thought this was the same.

could be my fault as it might have been a bit dirty, or med not having machined the flywheel correctly. stu says the spring type plates are 1mm thicker than the non spring type as this has.

thanks to your contribution on this as well joe, next time I will buy new thrusts!

ah right, he does two according to his site, one for up to 150bhp, and one for 150bhp+

I would say it was the up to 150bhp I think it was similar to a 266 profile.

that's pretty cool then! do you know what sort of boost it is running to make 140bhp?

That's interesting. I'm building a s/c engine and was considering getting one of these cams for it. But I have an MG Metro cam in my stock pile so I may well just use that as they sound to be very similar. It would be good to see the comparison....

Have to say a massive THANK YOU to Andy for doing this for me. The rolling road result was a real credit, as he fitted this kit without any instructions! The "bullet" drives amazingly, I'm still slightly cautious of mashing the pedal, as it's a bit mental with the torque steer. I've owned my mini for years now, but I am now completly happy with the end product. Gonna spend my days off this week polishing and fitting a few parts back on (grill, new wipers, c/f bonnet etc) then I'll get some pics up of it in full glory!

Rich , Andy.

The Bullet is a credit to you both, well done lads, looks great.

Should have brought it to Pod last Sunday ! Never say never, I did and look where it got me - hooked. LoL.

Richard.

Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

really? sounds like a strange one to me Richard!

I've got a plastic 11 blade fan on my 1380, with the blades cut down 1'' each, and it's been revving to 8k a few times a week for over 4 years now!

7000 actually!

prawn you probably haven't got a s/c to whip into you blades though.

there wasn't enought space between the belt and the fan and the belt just jumped and caught the fan blade.

vmax did say keep it below 6500 and it would be ok.

it's all repaired with no real damaged except the fan. took a couple of hours last night, wasn't too bad. I even had the Charger completely off and on again to do some unrelated work!

and the rev limiter set now!
