Ok... I am currently doing some rsearch before I map my megajolt and have come across a feature that I may incorporate into my map which most modern cars use, Gearshift/Overrun spark retard. Modern cars also cut their fuel supply on the overrun which I cant do as I am running an SU.
My aim is to promote smoother gearchanges when lifting off with less stress on my exhaust system, more passenger comfort etc. I use umpteen engine steadies with decent bushes and still get plenty of drivetrain shunt.
So perhaps at maximum vacuum on the overrun I can retard my spark to perhaps TDC. Anyone got any thoughts on this. Will it work?

Would this have the same effect as a slipper clutch?
So if you drop to second from fourth at too high revs you wont get compression lock up?

might get a nice pop from the exhaust every shift too

Speeding is like masturbating, everyone does it, but not all of us film it and put it on the internet

I've done it before, but the manifold gasket didn't seem to last long

i thought about this, what i have come up with is, the revs will drop faster with pops and bangs out the exhaust and give an almost antilag type affect for the guys running turbo's and be similar to a soft cut revlimiter..

Yes i moved to the darkside *happy*

I would have thought the revs would come down slower like most modern cars. Less jerky and less stress on the car. I think you may be right about the popping since I wont be able to cut my fuel at the same time.
As for the gasket damage ... would that be down to the increase in temperatures in the manifold?
