Don't bother buying a metro turbo engine. All you will get is a standard turbo engine that is at least 20 years old and probably in need of a rebuild anyway. Just rebuild what you have to your spec or find another standard engine to rebuild.

If you do some research and decide on a spec people will generally offer you more help. The search button is your friend... *smiley*

to be honest if youve got all the spi loom and injection stuff you will prob get a fair few sqid for it, you can pick up almost everything you need to turbo an a series for about £200

suspension and brakes wise a good start is to have servicable suspension that makes to car go in a streight line, std 8.4 disks with mintex or green stuff pads will work well as a start, and a good thick grippy steering wheel will be very usefull as will good tyres

If you buy a complete Turbo engine from here then you most likely wont get a lemon.

I just sold one to a forum member and it still had the honing marks in the cylinders with next to no bore ware, and it had the earlier crank fitted. So complete motors are not all doom and gloom.

Having a complete engine to fit puts you onto a good learning curve and will allow you to piece together your own spec of engine.
