Gents, what of use for future modification use from a montego turbo engine , when it comes to using it on a metro/mini turbo lump ?. Turbo, carb, plenum ???, anything different about these that's better ??. Or anything else worth pinching ?.

I got offered a complete engine box & all ancillaries that's been sat in a garage for 5 years after it was bought to put in a van, which never happened. Will go for it if worth bothering, if not I won't.

Did it come with the auxilliary carb cooling fan, charger and hoses?

The carb has a different needle (obvious) which would run rich on a mini so is good for high boost applications the plenum is perfect for your intercooler fit.

Why not fit the whole engine and scare your self whitless *hehe!*

Carb and plenum are of use, and the actuator is 10psi, which is 6 better than the metro one. Problem with the carb is that it has an auto choke so you need to convert it.

Fuel regulator is useful, but different to metro one. If it has one I'd be interested in it.

okie dokie, I shall pop round and see him again then in order to check what's there ans to see what he wants for it. Is the Turbo of any use ?. Needs much modification to it for use on a mini/metro.
