Hi

I ahave removed the outer race bearing in the clutch housing but as you need to replace them as a pair, how do I remove the bearing on the gearbox shaft?

I have tried a screw driver to prize it off but its on VERY tight?

How do you normally get them off?

Thanks

Jon

If it has the plastic type of bearing on it, take all the rollers and plastic cover off. Lock the box by engaging 1st & 4th. Undo the lock tab and then undo the big nut behind it. Should pull the bearing of nice and straight.

Unfortunately I could not find a puller at work so....

I used a claw hammer, LOL

I was very gentle and levered it off the floor and not the gears, work very well and the bearing slid straight off.

Thanks for the help

Jon

Dunno yet. Might be going out Saturday night in which case I ought to spend some time with the woman. Don't want my benefits cutting.
