was at avon park couple weeks ago and lost all drive, sounded like it'd popped out of gear at first but then realised i had nothing in any gear. happened in first when it gripped off the line

If theres no clonking or rattling maybe the pinion nut came off (like mine did) and the teeth arent meshing.
I seriously doubt it! |

ah sorry i should've mentioned .. when in gear and i try to pull off there is a rattling noise as if somethings spining but not engaging or like you said meshing.

as paul said, could be drop gears or pinion, if there was no noise when it let go, i'd guess pinion nut has come lose. On 15th May, 2009 TurboDave said:

It was output shaft :) snapped like a carrot .nice cheap fix. Will get some pics up when i get home to my computer 2012 Avon class c 2nd place 13.8 @98mph |

Nope, can't suggest a better one. We have broken 1 in 4 years with big slicks and driven very hard, so not too dissapointed. http://www.twin-turbo.co.uk
