Interesting the work needed. In short - don't throw the auto blocks away just yet!

That is a good link and has pointed out a couple of bits we didnt know about it on the block we converted.

The tiny pressure hole on the back of the pump for example, is that on all a-series engines or just the ones with spider drives?

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

I spotted someone on TMF who had spent quite a bit of money having a block machined only to realise it was and auto block. I'm pretty sure he just lobbed it in the end! Shame they didn't see this article.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

yeah Thanks miniboo, we`ve been doing them for many many years , & yes i do have the adaptor plates in stock at all times

I actually like using the auto blocks, they are usually less stressed & mostly fairly std when you get them so they`re great things in my books *smiley*

The adaptor plate Chris (The Filthmiester) ordered was from Madmatt, it was a well made and a good/tight fit into the block.

Ah cool SumpNut, yes we have sent a few of them over your way, always good to here some feedback *smiley*

cheers ...

& yes they`re all CNC machined , & just a side note,,, we actually lock-tite the edges of them as we fit them to help relieve any chance of them leaking.
