Hey guys,
Im currently in the middle of my turbo conversion on my '63 S.
i want to use the 16 blade metal fan ive got (a. coz ive got it and b. coz it looks cool).
Do you guys rekon it will work ok for cooling? or am i better sticking with the 11 blade plastic one?

the 11 blade fan works well enough

yeah i know but ive got the 16 blade. Plus i wanted to be different coz you dont see them every day.
I just wana make sure its gona give enough air flow?

16 blade fan is not the best for cooling, it is the quietest . Take a look at

Its a Special Tuning leaflet for the 948/1098 Sprite, but the last page is not Sprite-specific. It mentions radiators and fans for Minis.
It says the 2A998 "tropical" 6-bladed fan is the most efficient and the 16-bladed 12A404 fan is the quietest, but for high-rev motors to use one (or two) of the 2-bladed C-2A997 fans.

I am running a Dowty four-blade fan on one of my cars that had a 16-blade fan, it was a hot runner here, and the fan change definitely helped bring the temp down.
