I can only see a suck-through setup with a Weber carb.

if your pics are on photobucket, you need to use the [IMG][/IMG] (lower case) quotes either side of the URL for the picture

As above but in photobucket if you select the bottom option (the one entitled IMG....) and do the copy from there and paste into your thread it will sort the [IMG] tags and URL out for you.

Intersting. Looks like a good install. What sort of power does it make??

I'm thinking about something along the same lines, but I have a cunning plan...

Oh yes, blow through it is

I am begining to apreciate the difficulties of running a blow through supercharger set up and understand why OEMs have the throttle body on the front of the super charger, rather than after it. Its pretty much how the machines I work on throttle the capacity, and the more I understand those, the more I understand the methods used by OEMs on supercharging

No power as yet. It was running 155 on the old setup. Someone else that has done something like this has had 140 but im hoping for more than that to be honest. Not alot has been done since these pics were taken (about two weeks ago). Hoping to get it on the rollers at some point next week. Looking to sort the boost at idle issue at the mo.

loving the look of that now Jonny, it looks SO much more complete than the pics you sent me earlier in the year.

Love the tiny but thick IC core too! Where did that come from? it's very much the kind of thing I'll be looking for!

I still think an idler under the charger may be needed when you get it running, to increase belt wrap, but that would be very easily added if needs be.

Did the guys at slark make that charger outlet? it looks awesome, but I doubt it'd work with a pre engaged starter due to the solenoid stuck on top.

Yours is very much how I imagine mine will end up, aside from I'll be mounting my alternator in a more standard location.

Cant wait to see this finished! Would you mind if I popped down to slark one weekend to take a peak?

Feel free to pop down. Most, if not everything, has been made. The I/C and the outlet have been fabricated by someone they always use. Did a brilliant job. The alternator is very trick and uses the space in the engine bay well. The I/C (by luck) should sit just under the scoop i have on the bonnet although i want the front end re done. We do have an idler that we can fit if needs be, but all seems to be working on that side of things. Got to sort the over boost relief valve and then thats it done!! (Famous last words!!) oh and brake lines and a throttle cable!!

How did you adapt the charger to mount onto the alternator?

I'm looking into the same setup but for a Zetec engine!

Lightweight racer coming soon.

There is something on the end of the charger that spins while its running. So we adapted a plate to fit that to the alternator and a bracket for the alternator to fit to the blower and spaced it out with washers. Now we have it fitted, we are going to get some shims made to measure so it looks alot nicer!!

Im not that clued up on the Eaton supercharger, but I know that there is an output shaft to drive a mechanical water pump.

I thought this was common knowledge?

Thats right. Didnt know it was for a water pump. With people pointing out the lack of wrap round on the water pump pulley, would an electic water pump sort the potential issue?

johnnysti - this isn't the car that Slarks were working on 2-3 months ago is it? They were using a bike alternator driven by a dog drive, mounted as per your pics.
If it is, keep posting the updates - I'm wanting to build one of these myself :)

What happened to the gold carb cover *happy*

Nice car by the way - I'll be interested to see what power you get! I like this installation, as I'm looking to install into a marcos. What have you done to the rest of the engine?
