Very good matey, just take your time when building it as care and attention to detail at that time can make the difference between a nice engine and a not nice engine.

It's a good feeling. We've just spent the afternoon in Benross' garage building the short engine for the van. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

All good stuff, love building engines. As Fenton says, take your time with it. Buy at least 2 rolls of Kitchen Roll. 1/4 Mile 14.3secs 96Mph Terminal 10psi of boost.

Plenty of paper towel, some plastigauge to check mains and big ends running clearance, check the crank endfloat, check the ring gaps, plenty of graphogen on the shells, a little EP 2 grease in the oil pump, tap all the threaded holes out, pull the gallery plugs and clean all the galleries out with solvent spray and compressed air if you can, get some pipe cleaners for the crank, loctite on such as the oil pump bolts, etc etc etc.......
