Really Depends on how far you want to go with the vehicle & how deep your pockets are !!

take every thing off the shell, fix the rust then put every thing back on replacing the old/ rusty / worn / crap / ugly / burnt out (as in wires) parts and all will be good Yes i moved to the darkside |

strip it right back, then go round every inch of the car, poke it with a screw driver and see what falls of.
