take every thing off the shell, fix the rust then put every thing back on replacing the old/ rusty / worn / crap / ugly / burnt out (as in wires) parts and all will be good *wink* have a look through the "show us yours" section so much information there!!

strip it right back, then go round every inch of the car, poke it with a screw driver and see what falls of.

You need to make a decision on whether it's worth fixing or wether to break it up, sell the usable bits and start with a new car.

I wish I'd done that before starting my mini's bodywork...
