ok I've got a price for these now but I'm going to need 10 to make up the order at this price.

so it will be a CNC machined billet (en16) steel pressure plate for a verto clutch cover, based on the valeo type cover, and is the design that should give the best leverage ratio available. Also the 3 fixing holes will be changed to an m8 thread.

price will be £80 Inc vat (which I didn't take into account before).

plus delivery at cost.

to add I've got a brand new unused cover to use as a sample to get the thicknesses so they will be correct and the company that's doing them make plenty off flywheels for other supplyers.

Going by mini13s CAD calculations it will save roughly .5kg

Im out as im using the AP plates. I was under the impression that the AP plates had the larger leverage ratio at around 2.4:1 rather than the Valeo at 2.1:1

How does that make the Valeo better? Am I going the wrong direction with all this?

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

I think the Valeo will have the better ratio, but i'm prepared to be proved wrong :)

I measured the distance between the contact points on both the Valeo and the AP, and those were the results I got, Still dont understand why that would make it heavier on the clutch other than the springs having a larger force?

Maybe i've stuffed up my calcs then,

(rushes off to dig up threads...)

Ok, I measured my AP at 36/21.5 and a valeo at 36/14

robert measured 44.5/17.9 for the larger spring (AP?) and 39.7/17.45 for the smaller spring (valeo?)

I couldnt work out how robert got the 44mm, but i have just remembered the PCD of the retaining rivets is different, hence the pivot rings are different sizes,

in that case you ratio's are probably right,

still dosent explain why mine was heavier than roberts or mattys..... :?
