Before it goes on ebay on Saturday (when i will take photos) i thought i would see if anyone on here was interested.

Here we have, I’m sad to say, is my 1986 mini city. I’m selling it as I have had it of the road for a few years now, and unfortunately I don’t have the luxury of a garage to keep it in any more, or the time to finish it.

Body: Standard shell with sportspack arches. In acceptable condition with rust starting to bubble in the usual mini places. At some point in its life it was sprayed from champagne to a custom green. The green is near impossible to match with rattle cans as you can see on the repair to the O/S A Panel, and N/S replacement door. Rear windows tinted to a good standard!

Suspension & Steering: Adjust-a-ride all round, new front shocks needed. O/S track rod end was changed, N/S will need doing, the ball joints could do with being replaced on both sides.
Wheels: 7x13 deep dish, could do with a refurb! It also needs 2 tyres.

Engine: not currently running! When you turn the key you get a ‘clunk’ noise. This could mean the starter has pack up, or it could be the engine. A new battery has been fitted. The engine (1275cc) came from a 1988 metro around 18 months ago and although fitted, was never wired/plumbed in (and still isn’t totally). The exhaust is a LCB system and the backbox will need removing (just pushed together- tightly) and re fitting about an inch back.

Interior: If i’m honest, this is a miss matched mess! The seats are a dark blue leather, the drivers seat has a rip on it, and the front seats need subframes, and some harnesses. The dash is a cheap MDF job, but does the job. The fuse box has been moved to behind the glove box. Bits of the carpet are missing. All that said, it’s still nicer then some interiors!

ICE: has a CD player of some sort (Panasonic i think) works fine, has 13cm speakers in the front, 6x9’s in the back and 6” subs (2) in the parcel shelf (not wired in, no amp supplied).

I have been totally honest with this, please feel free to come and have a look, i will give you an honest opinion. I’m only selling this as i don’t have the time to finish it, i want it to go to someone who can! It will need to be trailered away, its just been sorn’d and hasn’t taken an MOT since 2005.

This really doesn’t need much to finish it, just time that i can’t offer. When this was last on the road it got attention everywhere, form everyone
