Well spotted Paul.

Bloody good price.

Tempting but I already have the K16v sat at the back of the garage when i get a few spare moments on my hands *smiley*

Would be an economical way to kicjk off a conversion if it comes with cam carriers and all the other gubbins.

Richard.

Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

I think most of the people on this site have one tucked away in the back of their garage somewhere.

I'm still on the lookout for a 16v, but only for a decent price.

Got my K1200RS 16v head from from Motor Works bike breakers up North, everything: loom, RS cams, head, 38 mm throttle bodies, everything, for about £425 about 3 years ago.

Might have gone up a bit but worth checking them out.

Richard.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

More flow as you have more ports in the head and easier to fuel inject

Sounds good to me, anybody got a rough idea of overall cost for me to buy the parts required and fit the head?

Also, rough idea of a basic turbo'd 1380 with this head on omex?

Have a search for Jimster's posts. He has a K1100 16V turboed (i think) 1310. It put out over 260BHP ar the rolling road day rescently.

The K1100 is 16 Valve where the K100 is 8.

Yeah thanks Graham, and as Brett says, I could kiss another few years away !

No, the plan is to stick with the A Series Turbo on the van and optimise it a good deal more but take my Ma's 1380 Clubby estate and do a 1293 K conversion as the motor needs to come out for a rebuild anyway. Those are the plans for a few months time (if not years !).

I have most of the SC parts necessary (build guide, drilling jig, plates, cam drives, seals, belt kit etc) but need an ECU, exhaust manifold, cam pulleys and copper gasket.

Since I bought my conversion kit a couple of years ago, John K has made major upgrades to the SC kit of parts but I'll bide my time for the remaining parts 'til I can afford em.

Richard.
