Just a quick one for you intelligent lot!

If have a 7 inch wide wheel, with an ET13 offset, how much will this stick out (outer arche way) past the centre line of the hub?

Also the same question if the wheel has an ET7 offset?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Oli.

Just for future reference if anyone searches or you want to know again.

ET = The posistion of the wheels mating face to the hub relative to the center line of the wheel.

ET13 means that the mating face of the wheel is 13mm outwards of the center line.

So therefor ET -13 is with the mating face 13mm inwards of the centerline.

So on a 7" wheel the total width of the wheel in MM is 177.8mm (rounded up)

That puts the center line at 88.9mm and with the ET 13 wheel you will get 75.9mm sticking out past the hub mating face. and with the ET 7 its 81.9mm.

Hmmmm one of me and Joe has it backwards?! I think You've done it for ET - 13 Joe?

But anyways you get the idea of how to work it out.

Ahh right, cheers for that info james, looks like a i would have worked it out slightly wrong anyway lol.

I'll go and remeasure now

Edit: actually i would have been on track, just going the wrong way with the negative and positive offsets.

Yep, James was right, Joe got it backwards.

Essentially, -ve offset means the wheels stick out.
