hi, i have removed the rear belts from my car ( dont worry about mot, not a problem).

anyway the c pillar covers (panels the same colour as headlining between the rear windscreen and side windows) has a hole in it now for the seatbelt bolt.

from newton comercial they are fourty quid without the holes. thats a bit steep for me.

so im looking to find someone breaking a pre seatbelt model car so i can sort myself out a pair of these without holes.

if anyone can help with the year the belts were introduced it would be a great help.

many thanks

My 1988 had belts in the back but there were lap belts so had solid c-pillars

I think 1989/1990 was when the c-pillers were changed to hold belts.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Scratch that, i'm talking shit again.

My 1990 Mayfair does have C pillar belts so they may well have been introduced 89/90, or maybe even earlier like 86.

My 78 had no rear belts. I should have the c pillar covers knocking round. They're a bit grubby, but I won't be using them...

i think from 86 they have the seat belt bits in place in the pillars and seat backs

Maybe even 84 when they switched to disks, but im confident it was 86
