Sounds OK to me. Aren't the sintered regarded as the most brittle rockers? I think the pressed ones are thought of as good

7k in the clubby?

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

the pressed steel are a higher lift iirc 1:2.7 the sintered are thought of as crap and at about 1:2.3
i have seen alot of the pressed steel rockers welded, i can only Imagen for high rpm usage they part?

Large bore pressed steel rockers are 1.27:1 where as the later sintered type typically manage 1.22:1 at best.

These figures can be affected by wear and the geometry of the rockers if the head has been skimmed etc.

I think I have seen people using the DTI to measure lift with the rockers fitted and optimising them with spacers etc.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Yeah, theres the supposed 1.3:1 pressed steel oval pads, then the 1.25:1 for the pressed circular pads, sintered and forged. They all seem to vary a bit though

Wouldn't the rockers all be massively work hardened after a life of abuse? Would welding the centres cause cracking since they may have gone brittle?

Personally I wouldn't be welding them for a max rpm of 7k. Not like you will be seeing it all the time on a road engine.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.
