mg cam turbo double valve springs and high lift pressed steel rockers good combination or will i get problems?

Sounds OK to me. Aren't the sintered regarded as the most brittle rockers? I think the pressed ones are thought of as good On 12th Nov, 2009 Paul S said:

Large bore pressed steel rockers are 1.27:1 where as the later sintered type typically manage 1.22:1 at best.

Yeah, theres the supposed 1.3:1 pressed steel oval pads, then the 1.25:1 for the pressed circular pads, sintered and forged. They all seem to vary a bit though Wouldn't the rockers all be massively work hardened after a life of abuse? Would welding the centres cause cracking since they may have gone brittle? Personally I wouldn't be welding them for a max rpm of 7k. Not like you will be seeing it all the time on a road engine. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |
