got me car rrunning but , when sat in traffic for a while then set off it has a cough and dies .. also huge clouds of smoke when changing down gear ... or sat in traffic .. accelerate and no smoke

Sounds like it's overfuelling at idle, check the fuel pressure at idle. If this is between 3 and 4psi then check the needle valve in the float bowl. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

well block has been bored and new pistons and head done by benross ... this is what i think .. when sat in traffic and the smoke starts to come the plugs get sooted up and cause missfire .. after 5 min driving its ok .. now the smoke is doing my head in ... turbo is fine as benross checked it over b4 we refitted ...

how do i sort it ..? under load no smoke .. going down through gears .. major smoke ... and what is italian method lol

lee i will give you a call, this engine has been rebored and new omega pistons fitted so its not that, you built the engine and fitted it into the car,
