Okay, so I hear a lot about the bosch pump for fuel injection, but what's everybody using, and what's the like/dislike about the pump, and what's everybody think is the best one?

90% on here use the bosch external pump. as its oe fit on alot of cars, some run in-tank pumps . there is no best one, as its what suits your needs. you wouldnt need a bosch motorsport 044 for a standard metro turbo lump but someone else might. etc.

So you think bosch would be good for just about anything then? I'm planning on trying to make the worlds fastest/most powerful 850. I've a long road ahead, but might as well get it right from the start.

no i think you need to research pumps to suit your application, there is no "best" only "most suitable"

Okay. Research is always good. It'll probably change a few times to be honest, as the pump I start with may or may not be right for what I'm going to do.

well, estimated horsepower output will allow you to calculate your required flowrate (give yourself a good safety margin)

and estimated boost pressure(taking into account fuel injection or carburettor/blowthrough, suckthrough) will allow you to calculate the pressure you require this flowrate at.

these two factors will allow you to specify a pump which meets your needs without being overworked or excessive.
