what do we think to these ..? been offered a swap for a 260bhp 5 turbo .. 230bhp @ wheels .

rolling road at 230bhp@wheels
and it did 260bhp@wheels with nos

front mounted intercooler
group n clutch really snappy
uprated carb with 2.2mm jet
custom cam
standard head
ngk spark plugs
nitrous with a 25bhp jet
t28 turbo
pipercross air filter
custom piping
uprated fuel pump
side exit exhaust
15" speedline comp 2 in black wheels with toyos r888s
grooved discs
2 blue cobra monaco bucket seats
2 4point luke harnesses in red
boost gauge
oil gauge but not piped up
completely stripped out still got the dash in and carp

this car did a 1/4 mile in 12.2@116mph so is fast and not for the faint hearted
fan cuts in at the right time
this car has got potential to get in the late 11s

Keep the mini! This thing sounds like it is in such a high state of tune that it will blow up in no time!

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Wasn't this on piston heads? I have one and love it looking for another at the minute. Figures adfup for the horsepower if it's still the same engine etc. Just check for rust!

I also think your mini is worth a touch more than this.

The mini is thirsty?

Get the IC on it and have it setup at a turbo a-series friendy rollers. It will transform the car and hopefully give you a bit better fuel economy.

Thats 10mpg on a 5 gallon tank or 6.7 on a 7.5 gallon tank. You have a problem! You should be seeing 20's/30's. Are you sure your fuel return isn't returning to the floor!!!!

How far have you driven it since the new turbo? Have you pulled a spark plug out to check colour?

I get about 35mpg on a run in the 5 and less when running about. Its a cheap car to run tax insurance etc. The Mini is a guzzler but fun :0)

my supra on a motorway run will save me 15quid every 100 miles compared to a NON turbo 1275
they are both fun in different ways just depends how im feeling

edit: KEEP THE MINI:)
the 5 will use more fuel anyway if its making more power
