Hi all
Does anyone know or should i talk to john k
would a SC K series head fit on a 1460 A series ?

It will fit, but why you'd want to go slower than a 5 port I dont know. lol

Depends how fast the 5 port is.
Just my opinion, theres lots of 16vs on here.
I would like to see how a long stroke 16v performs.

The 5 port is reported to be 106 bhp .
would the pistons need pocketing ?

surely 106bhp from a 1460 5 port is VERY low? 106 bhp from an A-series is really very easy, and doesn't require anything as extreme as a long stroke crank to get to that kinda figure.

Unless it's been built as a lazy low revving hi torgue cruiser kind of engine?

i dont know the full details of the engine yet , hoping to pick up the car tomorrow,
engine was buit by avonbar in about 1995 and covered hardly any miles

Surley a twincam head will flow more fuel/air so produce more power??

Yes the pistons will want pocketing. go for it.

As for horse power ,106 could be quite esasly be right if its got a mild cam and could produce big torque.
