Got abit more money to spend on the car. Would it be best to get an LSD or crank and rods lightened/balanced and the other usual mods.

Rough spec:
Fast road Unleaded head from turbophil
standard short engine
266 cam
intercooler
straight cut box and drops, xpin diff
megajolt

I aim to do both eventually but cant afford it atm. Car is for weekend fun

Thanks

Would go with the crank and rods myself...
But if you go with the LSD, keep me in mind for Xpin *wink*

i'd say LSD,

considering the don/ miniwilliams / jimster all run std parts albeit ballenced.

the lsd will do a lot for grip

I'd say pistons.

I'd say diff. You could do either and get away with it but I personally think that extra grip at your current power level, and the ability to keep grip while you up the power abit more on the standard internals (we know they are good or it just watch your revs) is a better way to go than getting the bottom end lightened and balanced and upping the power while loosing grip levels. You won't see full benifits that way round IMO.

My choice would be Quaife ATB, Pre-verto or RTS Clutch much more boost. Then if funds permit go for the crank, rods & then if you have trouble with the std pistons upgrade.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Yes, i seem to recall that once I had tightened up the ball joints it would squat down and go in a straighter line than previous attempts

Loose balls can cause problems.
