Bizarrely they do just plug in.

There's an extra couple of wires, a black and white and a green and something that plug into the back of the rev counter.

The mounting bracket is obviously wider for the 3 clock dash however.

It should do yes, It's pretty simple when you get to it. Take the 2 clock one out and have a look

The MPi clocks have a different tacho that will read twice the RPM on anything other than the MPi

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

obviously the sprite doesn't have any wiring for a rev counter so i'll have to install my own, where should i take a pick up from?

the wire is there, just not used when they install the 2 clock clusters

have a dig around behind the dash, from memory its green and purple? but might b wrong, either way, its just a wire fromt he coil tot he tacho, so no biggie to replace with a new feed

All the wiring is there as I have done this conversion. You need not alter any wiring.

If your sprite doesnt have a 'dash' as such, you will need to replace the clocks mounting bracket also, other than that, its plug and play

indeed it does, but you can change this by taking the the backing off, inside is a small screw that adjusts the revs accordingly, mine is right to the bottom and is accurate.

fitted the instruments a while ago now. for anyone wishing to do this mod in the future i'll fill in some blanks... the wires were indeed hanging about behind the dash, they are a WHITE/BLACK with a female bullet connector (from the neg on the coil) and a LIGHT GREEN/ORANGE with a female spade connector (from the bulkhead fuse box). once plugged on the rev counter was up and running. today i finally got the engine fired up for the first time and as was already mentioned the revs were reading too high so i stripped the clocks apart to find this adjusting screw. i hunted everywhere and was about to give up when i noticed a small white plastic cam and figured this must be it. i drilled a hole into the side of the housing to poke my screwdriver through and built it all back up. using a timing light that gives a rev reading, i set the counter accordingly, then checked it stayed true throughout the rev range. and it really is that easy people. hope this helps some body somewhere.
