So I'd built up the rear subframe a few weeks ago, all the fancy parts, HiLos, adjustable camber brackets, harder mounting bushes etc....

And today, after finishing the final brake lines, sorting out a problem with the exhaust mount, etc, etc, etc, I finally went to fit it.

Spent about an hour carefully jacking it up into place to avoid damaging all my underseal and fitted the rear bolts.

It actually aligned the bolt holes within 2mm, better than I've seen in the past, so went to fit the front ones into my nicely repaired rear sills (with new threaded inserts) and....




The ****ing adjustable suspension bracket stops me getting the bottom bolt in.

I now have to dismantle the suspension again just to get a bolt in.....

How did I miss that when I was putting the subframe together ?????

Had that problem stripping of minimadmotorman's very rusty old rear subframe. Then one of the adjusters snapped.... Then the nut head rounded. It was a challenge to say the least...

Been there, done that, got the tee shirt.

Just drop that corner enough so that you can twisle the mount on the trunnion and slip the bolt through, then twisle it back.

It feels like Friday 13th. I've been overseeing Axel fitting the 12G295, LCB etc. Just one disaster after another.

I had that irritating problem.

Subframe in, then had to build the subframe up when on the car, pain in the arse!
