I have being offered a GT17 of a 'low milage' SAAB, he says its in perfect working order, he wants £200 inc P&P. What do you guys think?

Way too much, I'd say. We have had brand new for £300. Maybe 150 if it as good as he says.

either "low mileage" or off a "good runner".
a mate of mine got a job at a garage that did a lot of internet stuff. basicaly the punter types in what theyre after on a site and a load of breakers and parts surrplyers call them up if thayve got the part.
basicaly he had to call up people as quickly as possible saying he had a low mileage or reconditioned engine/ box ect sitting on the shelf. then he had to call around and try and find one, it didnt matter if it was reconed or not or what the mileage was as long as they got money for it that was all that mattered.

anyone know where to go for a new gt1752 at a reasonable price. seen them genuine garret at £527.00 on e-bay, i have tried all of the recon companies, they dont want to know unless you have a part x to send, their is a lot of import or reproduction about, not much of the genuine product about.

Our new one was an ebay job, they turn up now and again. Like you say you need to buy a nacker to be able to get it reconed.

just recieved one of these turbos, genuine garrett gt1752 petrol, excellent company to deal with, (saab dealership)
selling for £395.00 plus p&p, could not find cheaper for a new unit.
