Saw this car at Prescott earlier in the year, looked fantastic just a shame it didn't go up the hill. Isambard Kingdom Brunel said:

I still don't understand what the records are, as in what are the rules for the test?

I still don't understand what the records are, as in what are the rules for the test? I guess it's all NA too. The rules are quite simple - two runs in opposite directions over the measured distance within an hour. The times of the two runs are averaged and must better the current record by 1% to establish a new record. British records have historically only been based on capacity with forced induction not being taken into account - many of the existing records were set by blown cars. I'm not aware of this having changed but the MSA website is a bit ambiguous - I'll check and let you know what the current situation is. I've been involved in quite a few British and International record attempts and I can assure you that its not always as simple as it sounds! It can be very expensive too... The MSA rules are here: www.msauk.org/uploadedfiles/msa_forms/bluebooks/10/372-%20National%20Records.pdf And the FIA rules here: |

So in all likely hood these 4 records were set in one run, just measuring over different set distances.
