Was thinking of creating a MIG welding service around the Anglia region. Like to know the interest and the ups'n'downs of the service.

Very good point. Only family & close friends get freebies. Its a discipline I need to learn

Iv done few mobile welding jobs, its always worked out good for me, as you can charge a call out fee, so already your ahead, then everytime iv been out for a job so far either i have found more rot or they owner has asked me to weld up other stuff.

Im not sure how you would go about advertising for it, all the call out jobs iv had have just come through word of mouth...

I think Tom has it right - I used to do this ,mainly on MOT failures and it often meant that you were trying to join rust flakes in the guise of bodywork. It ALWAYS took longer than you wished.

So far its been word of mouth, but always had to borrow a welder. Not thinking of doing it as a business, got my own car to do! More of abit of drink money or finance other projects.
Was really good when I used a whole sheet metal factory for homework, but those days are mostly gone.
