Hi all,
Been lurking about here, grabbing little bits of info here and there.
 Here it is in its current state.
My plans are to replace the 1380cc N/A engine with a 1360cc F.I
Spec is very rough at the moment, I'm still learning and this will be my first time building an engine. I'm going to build the engine to be driveable, i'm going to aim for around 150bhp but I will see what happens.
Engine being used is an SPi, without the injection. I'm also going to use my current A series gearbox on the A+ block.
Block: Modifying water pump area to vizards recomendations, installing undercrown cooling with the ford jets. Then sending it off somewhere to be bored 1360cc and fully prep.
Crank: Standard crank, lightened, balanced. Was thinking of increasing the stroke, but have yet to decide.
Pistons:Not sure yet, but I ain't scrimping on them
Rods: Standard rods, stress relived, lightened, balanced
Cams: Unsure
Head: Would love to work on one myself, even though I would be happy enough to have a go at a N/A head, I can't find enough guidance on a F.I head, so going to leave it to the experts.
Gearbox: A Series sc/cr gearbox (already own) 3.2 or 3.44 final drive. LSD (unsure which one as yet). Using A-Series SC drop gears. Will have to modify the gearbox casing to allow the rods to pass the case without fowling.
Turbo: I havn't done any calculations yet, but I'm thinking about using something like a T25, or something similar. If I can a GT series with ball bearings instead of journal. See how it goes.
Thats a very rough plan. I'm not going out, and trying to get monster power. I just want a car, which is driveable for about town, but you can still give it a good thrashing. When its done and the shell is preped enough, I'll be doing a few autotests in it.
