hi guys, just in the process of changing the mini over to a clubman fibreglass front. looking for some pics of how people have mounted them at the front, don't want it "flipping" so bolts pins etc, also any guides to cutting headlamp and grill sections out of the fibreglass, and finally tdk fronts?? good quality?

thanks, sorry for all the questions.

Tim,

Since I flip-fronted my Clubman front I can't really offer much other than an old pic of what I cut out - essentially enough space for headlights, leaving the vertical bit between headlight and grille, then cut out the entire grille area;

Apologies for a rather rubbish angle on the pic!

Leaving the "inboard verticals" made it easy to mount the grill with a few 90ยบ plates too, then simply screw the headlight surrounds to the grille and a couple more bkts at the sides to finish.

Can't coment on TDK I'm afraid, they look OK on the website but never seen them in the Flesh. Mine was one of the first ones available, from Minispeed if I remember correctly. A bit iffy in places, but generally OK.

Cheers, Pottsy.

PS Although probably not much use if you're having a removeable front, give us a shout if you need any more pics, though I've no doubt someone will have something more suitable...!

i use hinges on the front, this helps to get the front angle correct then over centre clips in the inner wings.
