I've been thinking abour dry decking my engine when it comes to build time.

However I can't find any information about whether or not to block off the oil feed and feed the head/rockers etc another way?

Do most people just dry deck the water and leave the oil alone?
I know the oil will return down the pushrod holes so I can't really see a reason not to leave standard oil feed in place.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

AFAIK its just the water ways which are blocked, as the oil feed is far enough away from the bores to cause any problems.

I've have left the oil fed as is on my twink build.

I am not sure its a good idea to leave the oil feed as is on the twink build. You should move it slightly to make them match. Also its a good idea to machine the jackshaft to give a continuous feed of oil to the head. More about that on EFIminis.

jackshaft being the now redundant A series camshaft thats retained to drive the oil pump?

Edit, i think for simplicity mine will be staying from the standard feed point in the block

My K head has been machined to ensure the feeds line up corectly. Will look into the jackshaft mod, thanks.
