hi all, going to start replacing my drivers side floor pan and inner sill next week jus wondering if i cut both out do i need to brace it up beforehand?

in short No! as long as you leave the outer sill on

If the door tread section is still there and 100% sound you may be OK but even if it is, personally I would tack a brace just above it across the openning just to be on the safe side. The door tread alone isn't that strong. Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ??? |

weld some box section to the seam where the rubber door seal attaches. About 6" above where you are working so that you have room to get your tools near your work. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:
