We've all seen the crappy fans on Ebay that claim to give a massive increase in horsepower and know that they are as much use as a chocolate fireguard!! Now, I saw an advert on T.V. the other night that got me thinking that maybe an electric turbo could be possible.

I'm not suggesting 2bar of boost, but I'm thinking it might just work as a bolt on mod??

Electric turbos exist, they just take lots of power, 2kinds, a normal turbo that's electronically assisted, and a turbo/supercharger driven by like 3-4 over volted starter motors :)

turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

lol you can see where dyson has stolen the idea from this time!

as a rough guide if you have a look at a supercharger flow map they often have a power consumption curve for a given boost, dere is one for the M45 Bini charger

you can pretty much take that as how much power it takes to make X boost... this will also apply to a turbo...ish, a turbo will need a bit less power due to being more efficient, the main difference is the turbo requires less torque as it is turning much faster.
