First mini turbo to get in the 12's & site perv

Herefordshire

finially decided to go back into the garage after a long period of time that i couldnt be assed with the crapmobile.

things were going ok until i went to tighten up the manifold, when one of the threads in the head gave up for the stud (ive known its been faulty since i had it, i should of said something then instead of the excitement of wanting to get it together, oh what it was to have excitement about a mini)

anyway back to the piont, so could someone please inform me of the thread of the stud so i can try and buy a helicoil kit

i think i may sell it and buy a bini, anyone interested in the crap mobile, supposed potential for 170bhp and weighs less than 600kgs...............groan

Aye Helicoils are great, once stripped a cyl head thread on an ally blocked peugeot engine........

Put two helicoils in to get the right thread length and it torqued up a treat, even with the +300 deg angle torque (don't you just hate doing that...)

Good old peugeot, they had decided on M11x1 thread.....cheers boys....grrrr

please dont talk to me about m11x1 thread

more progress, armed with everything in hand i was full of excitement as i entered the garage tonight.
heres my list of things to do:
1. fit oil feed + oil pressure pipe
2. Replace mastercylinder with old style one
3. replace copper brake pipes
4. fit new driveshaft & cv
5. bleed brakes
6. drive off into the sunset

first things first oil feed-yep went on first time! as did oil pressure pipe
2. mastercylinder, check its on
3. front to back brake pipe is done, ill do the front after dinner
4. good its the right driveshaft, pop on potjoint thing, oh the inner gaiter's split!! curses thatll have to wait till tommorrow, cant fit hub now...
3. ill make that front brake pipe now, oh its not formed correctly, wahoo-no its too short, no, no, no, no fuck it! oh the tool has bent itself
5. damn cant bleed brakes
6. cant drive off into the sunset
