Hi there :) My name is Mandy, I'm a Law student and I'm very well known for my association with Metros.

My first ever car was a 1979 Mini Clubman. I bought it way back in 1991 for £100. Since then I owned several Minis including a 1960 model and a 1275 GT. I was a regular at all the Mini shows for several years and completed the first Mini World London To Brighton Run in a Cooper replica. I was very honoured to meet John Cooper there.

In 1996, I eventually took a few proper lessons in a Rover Metro and passed my test. This was the turning point for me as I instantly fell in love with the Metro and moved on from the Mini (even though I still retain a soft spot for it).

Since then I've owned about 12 Metros. Starting with modest 1.0 litres, my "need for speed" soon transcended into my ultimate Metro- a 1.4 mpi GTI about 6 years ago. This has now become my sprint car and I have accumulated 13 trophies since I began competitive motorsport 3 years ago.

I now own 5 Metros. Two of them are Turbos. I picked up a Vermillion Red MK1 today, but have owned an All White Edition 1986 Turbo cabriolet for 4 years. I used to also own a Stone Grey 1988 Turbo. I sold it over a year ago but had a five page feature on it in MG Enthusiast mag.

Metros are a large passion of mine and as a result I have been a founder member of Metro Owners Club (now Club Secretary & Events Team Leader) and have been on the committee of MG M Group for over 3 years. I have organised social/ car events for Metros for over 4 years and have regulary supported the MG Metro Challenge Cup since 1996.

Hi guys :) Thanks to you all for the warm welcome on here. I didn't know i would be in the minority on here but can assure you that even though I'm female I'm a total car nut lol. No pictures for now! May post up a few of me racing sometime if you behave yourselves! Will post up a few of my sister if any of you are into 43 year old obese women lol.
