Turin Holiday Snaps - Italian Job locations

i am a huge fan of the "Original" Italian Job film, so i was like i kid in a sweet shop the last week. we thought we get a well deserved holiday in before christmas, so spent the last week in Turin.
here is a few location pictures i took.

Good old Camp Freddie on the balcony before the raid.

The point in which the raid took place and the arch way where they used the car transporter to break the doors down

Part of the escape sequence through Turin, just before "whats his name" leans out the wind and grabs the chicken.

Another part of the escape sequence, its amazing how they got the minis down here as it was pretty tight. this is also in the palace in the center of Turin, a few back handers must have taken place.
and finally the church where the three minis drive down the steps. i really wanted to get to the Fiat factory and go up on the roof, but just didnt have the time. definitely next time though

i went for the 450D, it was a £100 cheaper from tax free at the airport. absolutely brilliant camera

get yourself the 28-135 lense its a brilliant walkabout lense

cracking camera, it's what we have. I assume these were all taken on the 18-55mm kit lens?

I want to go to turin now! There is my next holiday planned!

yeah i used the 18-55m, i think within an hour of using it i was already finding it limiting, so a new lense is the next thing. Cheers wolfie ill have a look at that one.
Turin is awesome, such a nice city loads to do. really expensive though, i dont think i paid less then 4 euros for a pint. i really want to do the Italian Job run, but after seeing how the Italians drive im not taking my mini there lol

Hmm ive been looking for somewhere to go away early Feb. You'll have to show me the snaps this week mate, then hopefully I can convince Sarah to go! lol

The weather was awesome, cold but dry. never rained, tried to snow. seriously depressing getting back into the UK and it being wet and windy

The two photos above were taken from the viewing point up the tower in the first picture. id love to be able to tell you the name but cant remember it. it is the national museum of cinema. not a place for someone who hates highs. the elevator is glass and goes straight up the center of the tower.



you wouldnt see christmas lights like this down Oxford St lol. the Italians are crazy for the female form. nakedness every where wowow







the final 3 photos are the same locations as in the first post but at night all lite up they looked amazing.
