also, what mod is best to do to mod my head for turbo used?is it the same as n/a head?

also this one,is it possible to use hi-capacity oil pump than turbo oil pump as it seems immposible to get it here.
thanks!

The valve guide needs to be enlarged if you are going to use the standard Metro turbo Exhaust valve. You shouldn't. As I've told you previously, either get one of Minispares' valves, or get one form Paul Ivey.

A "turbo pump" IS a high capacity one.

Don't use the standard 295 valve because it's shite.
Don't use the Metro turbo exhaust valve because it doesn't fit.

Order from Japan or Australia then, just don't use any of the above.

The 940 valves are way too big, and way too long. I wouldn't advocate on turning down the sodium filled exhaust valves.

940 valves are a bodge. If you want to ruin a 295 this way so be it.

If you want to do it properly, you fit 31/31 mm small bore inlets and 26.5/27 mm exhausts.

If you send a fax to Paul Ivey at Racespec, It cannot get any simpler than that.

mini monster

just to clarify, is this for a small bore motor?

as the 12g295 wont fit large bore blocks

also, the turbo oil pump will fit large bore blocks, but not small bore, well not without modifying (speak to paul_H on here) or a spacer plate.

joeybaby83,
yes,
it is for a small bore motor.
so the turbo oil pump wont fit eh?
so does the standard oil pump can do the job?

so the standard 12g295 does come with that valve size right?
what about the valve guide?

No, the 295 comes with 31/25.4mm valves but the exhaust is made from butter and is too small if you want some performance.
The 31mm inlet is big enough, but my experience is that a OS valve is often needed because of wear.
I'd get the bronze guides as a matter of course on a turbo engine.

Concerning the oil pump, read this:

OS=Oversize
The aftermarket valves in those sizes from Minispares CAN be used with a turbo. At least that's what I've used previously. Along with bronze guides.

Rimflo 32mm inlets. turned down A+ inlets to 27mm for exhausts.

Vegards is saying to use the rimflo's for the inlets, and get some a+ inlet valves turned down to 27mm to use as the exhaust valves

I say that's what I've done on this occation, but as you probably haven't got a lathe available I'd get the ones from Minispares/Racetec.

Fuck 1275 valves in a 295 head.

I've used 998 A+ inlet valves as exhausts after turning them down in a lathe.

I'd still advice bronze guides in a turbo engine, especially the exhaust guides.

Did you see the link furhter up in this thread? An entire thread about oil pumps. READ!!

I've used such a valve, but I'd advice you to get a Minispares 26,5 exhaust. Easier.

Careful, could cost you more in the long run. If it fails you need to replace/build the lot again

I seriously doubt it!
