I always find this part of the season interesting, this year especially so as there are more drives than drivers.

After my successful bet on JB last season I thought I'd have a look at the current odds on the drivers championship. Michael Schumacher is currently 8:1 to win the championship, not even confirmed as a driver yet!

Hamilton if favorite.

I was thinking of putting a tenner in the next few days on a Mclaren one-two next year, don't know the odds though...

Nah, i don't think mclaren is gonna be on the top next year. I think we may have a good showing from Williams next year, not winning but up there.

Its too early to tell really. The teams are having a joint launch in February at Valencia i believe, then will be the time to put your money on!

The latest news i heard was that Schumacher is very close to signing a deal to drive for mercedes! That'll be where my money would be going!

Its all to close to call. Alonso in a Ferrari that has been under development since mid season is a good bet.

i havent really paid that much attention to what been going on yet but i would be tempted to put money on Vettel if he gets a good drive.

Is he staying at Redbull?

I don't think its for the money...that chance to cover Massa this year has opened up a can of worms. He wants to race!
I hope he does well if it happens, its good for F1...but I have a feeling Alonso will win the championship. Either way, Ferrari will win the constructors.

So Shoemaker signs a 3 year deal with Brawn. I head 6.2 million a year, which I'm sure will piss Jenson right off.

I hope he is still good to and does a Lauda not a Prost. However, I would much prefer it if Hamilton showed Schumy who is now in charge. The problem with Hamilton is that he is too good, just like Schumacher was in his younger days and us brits love an underdog not a winner.

Either way it should be very interesting.

Honestly Hamilton isn't as good as Schumy, i dont dispute he is an amazing driver but he can't be compared to Schumy.
How many drivers can drive at almost 200mph and hold a conversation with there pit team *wink*
Saying that he aint as good as he was and the time away is going to cost him so it will be close between them.
You also have vettle and massa, jenson is in a good car and we know he cand drive when in a good car.
So a close season we are in for i believe.... lets wait and see*wink*
