When i had the top end done a few month ago the lad mentioned my bottom end could do with a freshen up,

Then had a bit of an off yesterday and it rattled its brains out at full chat upside down under no load, half submerged for about 20 secs, making some horrid noises, prob just from lack of fuel and a bit of water being sucked in, but either way it needs a rebuild so..

What tonne press will i need to break the crank open? Vegard?

Ive wanted one for a while now, and now have an excuse to buy one lol

I've had this done few times, but I've always had the machine shop to do it...

I should've shown you a picture now of a crank pin teared in two :)

10000rpms for 40 hours does this *wink*

10/12 ton press will do most,but dont forget you will still need to make jigs to suit.

Yup. After rebuilding the crank assembly, they fitted cheap mains...
So I was at it again *wink*

Caution, I read somewhere that the two sides of the cranck can get misaligned and as you can expect this would be a power eater.
So the press is not the only tool you will require.
