hi anybody know how much a decompression plate would bring the compression down on an a series 1275 would it be enough to put a turbo unit straight on and run at standard boost without the need to fit dished pistons or enlargen the chambers

They are a bodge! get the chambers taken out in the head.

The amount it takes it down is down to the thickness of the plate, standard maths will work that out. Don't forget to allow for the 2nd head gasket when you so your compession ratio calcs.

PM Benross or Turbo Phil, they'll be able to give you a better idea.

EDIT: Before you do that, work out what you need doing. So you need to know the measurements of what you have and the CR you want to end up with.

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

yes as apbellamy states they are a BODGE!, it sure is ..... *frown*

if you get 28cc in the chambers with say a 1275 bore or 1293 bore you compession will be around 8.5:1 ish
