Hey guys

I have a few questions about engine choiuces,etc

I will not be able to get hold of a metro turbo used engine as an initial project motor, so i will have to purchase a used base 1275 engine. Now with this in mind i need to know what are the good and bad ones to get.?? and the particular engine numbers and gearboxs they are fitted with???

Basically I need to know what to keep in mind when buying a used engine normal 1275 A-Series engine for my turbo project, and what internals each will have that is best?

Are you looking for an engine to rebuild (new pistons and the like) or for one that can be easilly converted to turbo?

An engine that i can take and transform with new, tougher parts.

I want the engine to be reliable, foremost.

I know i can put in like a sweet new crank and stuff, but i want to know if the engine i get will be one that can have the best internals to work from. I understand that some engines have say weekpoints in the gearbox, or block, etc. I just want to know what non-turbo and non A+ 1275 would be the one to look for, or generally if they are all able to be capable of what i want??
