Good results on the rollers mate, and a verygood time on the strip aswell.

Wasnt there a roumor you were packing it all in or is it just typical mini stress when things dont go rite.

Trying to get on the massive ladder myself, been saving and saving, but then ive had no end of probs wi backs and hurnias etc.

Glad to hear its staying though.

Like you say realistily although we all spend out lives with them realisticly it can be parked up for 12/18 months till you get sorted out then play time again.

Rick

ps , good luck on the hunt.

Well like a blue peter tortoise the Mini is slowly coming out of hibernation!
I fitted a whole new car loom last summer but only wired in the bare essentials to get the car up and running. So I have sorted out all the lights etc to get it ready for MOT time!

Also had to drop off the exhaust and refit the Maniflow system as the other one was rather loud.
The new downpipe that I got off Maniflow was different as the knuckle was alot smaller than my old one.

Im hoping to sort a new downpipe and make the full system 2.5 inch diameter!

Also finally got my mini special wheels split by Fastcarl, top service from Carl as always.

Me and my mate spent the weekend prepping and painting the centres. We were using a clarke sanblaster but anything other than bare metal it was pretty poor at cleaning them up. So we spent 16 hours between us prepping them for paint!

They have been done in two pack so should be hard wearing!

Prepped

Primered and flatted off.

The wheels had about six coats in the end. My mate said they werent the easiest to paint inbetween the spokes so thats why it took so many coats.

Finished! Tubes have been ordered tonight so should be putting them together and fitting them at the weekend! Pictures arent the best im afraid!

That is all for now! Time to get back in the workshop!

I wanted something that would stand out! Unsure what the colour is it's just matched to a Clipper lighter lol

Going to get the MOT booked for Saturday, hopefully won't have the trouble AlexB had with his bootfloor. Once it's road legal it's coming off the road, to have all the parts I have collected fitted!

Main aims are to fit the new Fiat radiator and get the data logging fitted so I can see what's really going on.

Minivanless, but reluctantly happy living with the decision. There'll be another one day.

Hopefully have a test fit tubes and wheel nuts are in the post. The wheels are baking in the kitchen near the aga!

Rob originally wanted black but decided against it as you loose the detail of the spokes.

Rich should be good to go towards the end, give a shout when your going. Got some tweaks to make to the engine and another rolling road session should see some more power hopefully!

Did mini special wheels come with centre caps does anybody know?

Cheers Ron

Wheels look really nice. you could get some nice alloy centres made up, not sure if you still get the original ones if there were any though.
