Hi Everyone

I'm currently going through my engine as it was smoking a little on over run and start up. Just checked the bores and they measure as follows. 1 70.61, 2 70.65, 3 70.64, 4 70.63. All are mm's. Is this within tollerance or does it need a rebore. I done a compression check before strip down when hot and they were all good and the same. I can still see the honing marks in the bores. It also looks like a linered engine.

Thanks

Nick

Smoking on overrun and startup is almost always valve guides. If compression is good then even more likely.

The haynes has the standard bore sizes in with the tollerances.
