ok - not got much info but my brother is going to look at a W plate S40 2.0 auto tomorrow night. He is completely useless when it comes to cars and has asked me for some advice;

Does anyone have any horror stories to tell on these or anything to look out for?

Car is up for £1200 - i don't know what the mileage is so can't guage if its worth the money either.

either that or if anyone in Essex has something half decent for sale let me know

o/s/r brake caliper was stuck on my old mans when he had it at around 120000 miles. other than that it was a cracking car, his was a manual though. usual places for rust etc

Id say the price sounds pretty high, although they're fairly nice cars!

a mate of mine had a 2.0T S40 running a GT2876R, made around 380bhp put through the front wheels. was pretty awesome!
