Its a Merkur XR4Ti - Or to put it another way, a Ford Sierra XR4i with a factory 2.3 turbo version of the well known Pinto lump!

For anyone that knows me, you'll appreciate why I'm considering this as an option!

Regarding the Legacy, well I've decided to throw all my money into a house which i need to purchase in the next few weeks. That and figuring out what a mortgage is going to cost each month, I need save the pennies and get a junker for everyday use!

How could you not buy it?

A big St. Georges flag painted on the bonnet (sorry 'hood') should finnish it off a treat.

Yep, the XR4i was sold in that body shape in the UK. Pretty rare now but you do see them occasionally.

100% in favour at the mo.

The blue one is residing at my dads at the moment Jim. I only smashed the headlight, surround and dented the bonnet - not too much really! He's already fixed it up and is using it still! It's insured till October 05, so it may well make an appearance at Avon Park!

You say that but a friend couldn't sell his and ended up taking it to scrappy despite a genuine 49K and no rust!

So if you are happy to be its partner for life then buy it!
